LAS CRUCES - The county is blasting media coverage of a lawsuit that resulted in a record $22 million verdict for a former jail inmate Wednesday in Santa Fe, saying conditions in the Doña Ana County Detention Center are clean, professional, humane and "far from 'deplorable.'"
